Run a Complete Background Check Before You Say, "I Do!"

We love romance, really, we do!  But man, it can be hard to believe in the fairy tale sometimes.  In our line of work, we see all too often how people's inability - or unwillingness - to read the red flags in their relationship can lead to heartache and anguish down the road.  Often, by the time they come to us, to run a complete background check, an asset search, or a national criminal background check, they find out important information they should have known before they said, "I Do!"

Hire a Private Investigator To Run a Complete Background Check Before You Get Married

It turns out that Americans aren't the only ones who have to worry about dishonesty or lack of character when it comes to choosing a life partner. Many families in India have found it wise to hire a private investigator before the marriage takes place! They have found that utilizing a private eye's surveillance services can help to indicate whether a prospective bride/groom is being honest about his/her character.  When it turns out the prospective mate is caught in a lie, the wedding is often called off.

Weddings are expensive and so are divorces. Sometimes, a licensed private investigator can help you verify the truth before you take your relationship too far.  There are particular situations where we feel it's even more important to run a background check or asset search on a potential mate.

An Accurate Background Check Is Important If You Have Children

If you have children, it is imperative that you have an accurate background check run on any prospective life partner and/or spouse who will be spending time with them.  Unfortunately, sexual predators and abusers can be very savvy in picking their victims.  They are often sociopathic individuals who are extremely charming, excellent actors, and know how to get into your good graces.  Once they have earned your trust, you could be exposing your children to a dangerous criminal.  An accurate background check, and/or a national criminal background check will help to uncover anything your partner might be hiding.  Look at it this way; if they have nothing to hide, they will understand your desire to make sure because they should care about your children's safety as much as you do.

Consider a Background Search If You Have Property and/or Assets

One of the most important factors in choosing a life partner is having confidence that they are marrying you for you.  Your money, your property, your assets - none of these should matter.  Unfortunately, for many people, there is nothing more important. In most states, without a prenuptial agreement, your property, your money, and all of your assets become shared 50/50 with your legal partner.  By the same token, their debt, bad credit, and pending financial litigation could become yours!  A background search, or an asset search, is a good way to verify that what they have shared with you is honest - and that they haven't left anything out of your financial discussions.

We want everyone to find their soul mate, and live happily ever after.  But that is much more likely to happen if you do your homework first.  Consider hiring a licensed private detective to find out everything you need to know before you make the commitment of a lifetime.
