My Spouse is Cheating: P.I.s Say 75% of the Time it's True

We've said before that if you suspect your husband or wife is cheating, you're probably right. Recent statistics confirm our findings.

In a recent survey, 62% investigators reported that their investigations uncovered a cheating spouse about 75% of the time. While this statistic may seem staggering, our own experience is even more discouraging. We find that people who are suspicious enough to contact and hire a private investigator are almost always right.

Here are some other interesting statistics shared by the PI Now infograhpic:

  • In 55% of cheating spouse cases, the husband cheats on the wife.
  • Even though husbands cheat (slightly) more often than wives, husbands are more likely to think their wife is cheating.
  • The average infidelity case lasts between 4 to 6 months, although many are solved in just a few surveillance investigations.
  • Women are correct 80% of the time when they suspect their husband is cheating, while husbands are only right 50% of the time.

Hire a California Private Investigator to Catch a Cheat

Signs of a cheating spouse are pretty universal, and they typically revolve around changes: changes in appearance, in attention, in cell phone activity, in behavior, etc. If you have noticed your husband or wife is behaving differently and suspect he/she is cheating - don't let them know you're thinking about hiring a P.I. This can put them back on their best behavior.

Private investigators do their best work when the cheating spouse never suspects he/she is being followed or watched.
